1992 Ramos Pinto LBV
Bottled in magnum in 1996. Made mainly from grapes grown in Bom Retiro. Deep brick red colour with a centre that is still opaque. A wonderful nose, full of soft rich fruit and flower perfume, a bouquet which could be sniffed for hours. A little stiff on the palate on entry, with soft tannins and lots of quite burly fruit which combine to give a big mouthful. The aftertaste is dry, with red cherries and damsons on a sour finish. Nice port with a great length. 90/100. 05-Dec-17. Decanted 3 hours.
