Opaque and dark. Little showing on the nose except some faint fruit. The texture is wonderful, satin smooth initially and then extremely gripping, but always with the fruit nicely balancing everything else going on in the palate. The fruit leads on the finish. A lobely Graham, full of puppy fat for the short term and with great structure for the long term. 91-93.
Tasted 12 September 2018.

Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

G16 Deep ruby red with a purple rim. Very vibrant colour. Lots of red and black fruit on the nose. Beautiful on the palate, sweet but with wonderful balance and acidity. Rich and opulant. The structure for aging seemed there and it had a lovely long finish. This should be one of the best of the vintage.

95% opacity, dark purple. Citrus, acidic nose. Sweet entry, dry late on palate, medium level of tannins, soft to medium. Has all the ingredients for getting to a good place.
