I have checked Erskine May back to 27 December 1703 and can see no precedent that would cause the chair to rule to the contrary.

Thank you all for re-confirming now that the date has been set.
Could others please do the same?

September 2008, or January 2008? Assuming the latter.DRT wrote: ↑20:10 Mon 18 Mar 2019May I request September 2008, please?jdaw1 wrote: ↑13:05 Sun 17 Mar 2019Placemat style? Like that of the 1966 tasting of June 2013, or April 2014, or February 2016?
I vote ’14, then ’13, then ’16.
The placemats of 28th January 2008 are bad: ugliness is always bad; there is redundancy between the Titles and the parameters since renamed to Overtitles; and the suit symbols should have been done with FlightSeparations. Just no.
Re: 10th Sep 2019 - 1966 Horizontal at the B&F
Perhaps you could use the 2008 placemats as a frame of reference but utilise the improvements made since to create a modern alternative version that evokes memories of days gone by?

If Tony could rustle up a Niepoort that would be splendid...

Other options: Calem, Delaforce, Ferriera, Kopke, Mackenzie, Morgan, Quarles Harris, Ramos Pinto, Rebello Valente, Smith Woodhouse, Tuke Holdsworth.

Re: 10th Sep 2019 - 1966 Horizontal at the B&F
Thank you very much - I fervently hope so, but I am overseas more than half the year and that makes it difficult to attend most tastings, but I look forward to making it one day !DRT wrote: ↑20:04 Mon 18 Mar 2019That is a great pity. Unfortunately, with this many people and so few practical dates to choose from it was somewhat inevitable that one or more would have two drop out. We hope to see you at another event soon.Jasper May wrote: ↑13:41 Sun 17 Mar 2019 Very sad, I will not be able to make it![]()
I shall be at at trade fair in Asia.

Confirming I’ll be there D.G. And confirming I’ll be accompanied by a bottle of Sandeman’s.
Re: 10th Sep 2019 - 1966 Horizontal at the B&F
Yes I’ll be there but not sure what I will be bringing with me yet!
Re: 10th Sep 2019 - 1966 Horizontal at the B&F
That is a wonderful idea!

I'm not sure who D.G. is but it will be great to see you and the Sandeman. Thankfully this will still be pre-Brexit so you shouldn't have to wait too long at the border

Re: 10th Sep 2019 - 1966 Horizontal at the B&F
I have a recent release of g66 from SFE which is one of 300 bottles released In 2016 - I realize it might double up but I need a special occasion to open it.
Re: 10th Sep 2019 - 1966 Horizontal at the B&F
That would be most welcome. It will be interesting to compare it with the one I am bringing as the recent release will probably have been re-corked.

Please note that as a result of the above the Dow is no longer in the line-up. If anyone who has not yet chosen a bottle can supply one that would be great.
