Light and evolved appearance, mature red tone; 40% opaque. Spiced and alcoholic nose with little fruit showing. The fruit comes through on the palate, smooth and evolved, light initially but grows over the palate until it delivers a nice spiced fruit punch. A big explosion of mature fruit on the aftertaste and a fabulous range of flavours. Slightly too sweet on the end of the long finish to be great. Very elegant, typical of Warre but a little more evolved than expected. 91/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
