The time convenient to us that is closest to the two hundredth anniversary of that would be the evening of Thursday 23rd May 2019.
And we did.

W66, decanted 14:30. Red-red-pink, 40% opaque. Palate very rich, red-fruited, long and silky.

Bottled in Oporto. Rusty red in colour, 40% opaque. Very fragrant on the nose with plenty of candied cherry fruit. Nicely balanced with a smooth texture and a balanced fruit palate. Gentle tannins show in the fruit but the whole set of flavours and texture combines beautifully to give such an harmonious whole. Rich and mature fruit, wonderful balance, all combining together with Warre's typical elegance. 92/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
