D66, decanted 15:30. Glorious red, 50% opaque. Palate of big red cherry; soft magnificent Port.

Later, peppery heat appeared — not detrimentally.

Written from memory the day after the tasting as my notes have been lost. This was my joint wine of the night (along with the 2016 release of Graham 1966); big and bold with plentiful fruit and the tannins to give a powerful structure. A big, wine delivering on all fronts. Delicious and a wonderful contrast of style to the Graham (late release). 94/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
