1853 Whitwhams King Pedro V Colheita Port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

A tasting note posted on behalf of JDAW:

"Very fine. Fine rich aged tawny. Not as solid as Scion, but very long and sticky. Hint of spearmint early. Prunes. Great Madeiraesque acidity late. Very long.

From a half which had a smidge in it. And no longer does."

Tasted on 20 Sep 2019 about 5 hours after being opened. Bottled 2001.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
