80% opacity, deep purple. Lovely rich mouthfeel, pepper, tannic with deep rich fruit.

Still purple in colour rather than red. Absolutely nothing on the nose, but on the palate this delivers a sweet and clean dose of fruit followed by a huge wave of grippy tannins. Complex on the palate, a little unbalanced but showing so much potential. Delicious sticky sweet red finish which slowly migrates to a dry and firm peppery finish. What a big Port! And with a lovely green tone to the finish. 90/100. Decanted 5 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
