15% opacity, copper, clear. Lively oversweet nose. Smooth entry, sweetness, maybe losing some backbone - the finish fades away. Citrus fruits.

Ex-cellars bottle from Quinta do Cachão, courtesy of Miguel Perreira at a tasting organised by Tony Carter of Vintage Wine & Port.

Pale ochre colour, 20% opaque. Not much on the nose, just a little sweet bubble-gum. Light and soft entry, gentle and elegant. A touch sugary with very restrained fruit and a modest palate. Good acidity on the aftertaste, building nicely on the finish. Soft and sweet. 85/100. Tasted 23-Oct-19. Decanted 8½ hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
