RV60. Red, 20% opaque. Light, dry, some smoke, very dry late palate. Long, mid weight, very dry.

Later: less dry, more rounded. Soft and long.

20% opacity, mature red, orange rim. On the nose, red fruit, slightly drying out. Soft, smooth, syrupy, little bit of heat in the finish, plus dryness. Drying out red fruits.

A lovely mature red tone, 50% opaque. A slight taint to the fruit on the nose, metallic and unattractive. Much better on the palate with the black cherry fruit as the initial impression, sadly the mid-palate allows the metallic taint to dominate until the wine is swallowed and the aftertaste brings back the sweet black cherry. Pleasant, long lasting finish but a very odd Port. 86/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
