Rs60. Red pink, 20%. Light, a hint of menthol, very dry mid palate, hint of red fruit — almost raspberry. Long, with sweetness into the length.

Later: time in glass has slightly faded this.

Copper red colour with a touch of orange around the rim when compared to the Rebello Valente 1960 tasted alongside; 40% opaque. A lovely open nose, with fragrant perfume and gentle fruit. Smooth and elegantly textured entry; the generous levels of fruit build up on the palate, fresh and remarkably flavoursome. Elegant and full of redcurrant fruit; lively and full of life the fruit is wonderfully elegant. Fabulous poise to the fruit on the finish, long and with an iron rod core. Very, very nice Port. 92/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
