Very pale, 30% opaque. Cranberries on the nose. Light pretty port with pronounced strawberry note. Tasted (known to me) at B&F 9 January 2020. Courtesy OJW. My WOTN, #2 for the group.

Mature colour, lightly pigmented; 50% opaque. Vigorous palate with youthful fruit that somehow manages to be lovely and fragrant at the same time, with lots of freshness, a freshness which is similar to the Dow 1970 tasted alongside. Lots of floral perfume on the palate. A gentle milk chocolate and dried blueberry finish and lots of fragrance. Served blind, this was guessed to be Tesco 1994. 88/100. Tasted 09-Jan-20. Decanted 22 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
