Re: 1997 Gould Campbell
Very dark colour with a medium width rim. Rich blackcurrant nose, sweet and slightly cloying. Rich and dark on the palate, sweet with slightly candied fruit - dates and dried figs mixed in with black cherry. The dates and black cherries move through the finish, big charcoal and black cherry jelly. A lovely Port, eminently drinkable. 90/100. Tasted 05-Feb-20. Decanted 1 hour.
