From half bottle.
Decanting Sample - light, with more heat showing on tasting sample. Sludge rather than sediment.
+ 3 hrs - 80% opaque, nose has imported plum and blackcurrant jam; simple jammy palate and quite harsh tannins, merely good port at this point, nothing particular to offer
+ 24 hours - Dusty nose. dumb closed? Palate quite big. slightly acrid finish. Thicker, different texture to 04. A lot of wood showing. Needs more time. The oafish brother of the 03 and 04.
+ 72 hours - 90% opaque. Not a lot going on on nose, hint of pine needle, less garrigue than others. Hot, nasal clearing. Short of fruit. Brutal tannins on palate. A bit short, interrupted finish. An oddity. Is it quite right?
Decanted 26/5/2020, tasted 26, 27, 29/5/20
