Dictated by Justin
Half bottle; no bottling date printed on the label but believed to have been bottled in very early 2007. Sealed with a T-stopper so presumed to be filtered but decanted off a significant amount of sludgy sediment. Quite dark in colour, surprisingly so for a 20 year old LBV. Soft blackberry fruit on the nose. A little spirit on the palate, but this goes quickly to reveal a well balanced and mature wine. Balanced, attractive aftertaste; medium length finish - more than found in the 1992 Maynard LBV tasted some months ago (and Justin would choose this wine over the Maynard). A wine which would be happily drunk again. Drunk 10-Jun-2021. Decanted 11½ hours but spent the first 10½ hours in the fridge. 88/100.
