NV Churchill Tawny 20YO (bottled 2019)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Churchill 20YO tawny, 50cl bottle filled in 2019. Bottle was sealed with a t-stopper and included as part of the Q1 Port Club pack.

Deep amber colour, 40% opaque. Lemon and lime fragrance on the nose lying over the top of a sweet caramel. Nice acidity with a toffee apple flavour on the palate. A slight mead tone of honey on the late palate. Fragrant aftertaste with a bitter lemon oil and honey finish. Very nicely balanced. 90/100. Opened 02-Apr-21, tasting note taken 4 days after decanting.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
