2019 Calem

Barros wines are made from grapes sourced from Cima Corgo, Calem from Douro Superior. About 5,000 bottles per brand for the vintage wines. Kopke and Burmester wines are made from grapes from Sao Luiz or Arnozelo.

Final blend, half bottle, 30 minutes. Rounder fruit, sweet with a hint of menthol. Rounded and chewy finish. 89-91/100. Tasted 01-Oct-21
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
