1960 Berry Brothers (Rebello Valente)
Pale orange rim. Spice on the nose. Soft warm fully resolved port on the palate. Very nice.

Consumed 2/2/22

Shipped by Rebello Valente. A lovely evolved colour, pale; 10% opaque. A beautiful nose of mature, sweet and spiced fruit. A wine which is just divine to smell and sniff. A little dry on entry, a touch woody and very spirity. Bitter dried cranberry finish, with a good — no, stunning — length. A little too old, or perhaps a touch under-decanted. 85/100. 02-Feb-22. Decanted 3 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

30% opacity, amber with a rose tint, clear. Nose is delicate, floral then apricot, then a slight rubbery astringency. In the mouth, delicate and elegant, on a plateau, possibly starting a fade. Mandarin orange, elegant balance.
