Good deep garnet hue. Really pleasurable port tonight with lovely fruit.

Mature mid-red colour, 90% opaque. Spiced fruit, rose hips and redcurrant nose. Medium bodied with nice fresh fruit, redcurrant and roses with an interesting lapsang souchong smoky overtone. Tea fallows on the the aftertaste; aniseed and redcurrant cordial finish with a great length. 87/100.
Tasted 06-Apr-22. Decanted 9 hours.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
