2011 Burmester

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Drunk at dinner at O Gaveto with AHB and Tony Carter.

Burmester 2011, pop and pour. A touch of passion fruit on the nose. Lovely balance on the palate, generous fruit still overwhelming the tannins. Ripe without being sweet, perfect raspberry. Fruit driven finish. Lovely; drinkable today but with plenty of life in the cellar. 89/100. Tasted 09-Feb-22.
Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
