From half
P'n'p
97 per cent opaque glossy black cherry juice. Properly glass-staining
A swirl produces cool fruits on the nose but hard to sense through post-covid-bunged-upness
This is a really thick port, lots of matiere. Lovely wash of blueberry on front palate. Black cherries. Then some plummy drying tannins.
Really spicy tangy finish - chocolate orange peel?
I have a fair amount so will continue to check in every couple of years, but maybe starting to lose the fruity exuberance of youth. Let's see how it fares overnight.

Re: 2017 Niepoort
I've only had this Port a couple of times, first in February 2020, and have consistently found it to be a real stunner.
If I were confident that I would live well into my 90s, I'd stock up.

@ Glenn E. - I've also only had it twice before, and both times (i) I loved it (ii) it was more exuberantly fruity than this.
