Deep red colour, the darkest of the wines at this tasting. Surprisingly still ruby tones, 60% opaque. A little reluctant to show on the nose at first but some swirling released redcurrant jelly with a lovely floral overtone. Fabulous on the palate, full of black cherries and a hint of spicy mace. Big and full of flavour, giving a wonderful mouthful of fruit just starting to show some secondary flavours. Big, black cherry aftertaste and finish. This is great Port, still youthful and full of black cherry. My joint wine of the night. 95/100. Tasted 25-Jul-22. Decanting time not known.
