NV Confraria do Vinho do Porto Tawny 20YO (bottled 2018)

Drunk at the Confraria dinner.

Bottled 2018. Deep, dark orange-brown colour, 70% opaque. Lovely toffee nose, sweet coffee fudge. Gentle on the palate, butter tablet and orange acidity; fresh and lively with the acidity giving a little heat. Coffee and cinder toffee on the finish. Rather pleasant! 89/100. 23-Jun-22.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
