Drunk at dinner at Vinum after a visit to the Niepoort Lodge.

Note written from memory the following day. Decanted about 1 hour. Deep and rich, quite dramatic on the nose delivering delicious mature Christmas spiced fruit. Balanced on the palate with the fruit cascading over the tongue. A delicious mature Port, and my preference over the F70 drunk alongside this bottle - but most disagreed with me. 96/100. Drunk 17-Jun-22. Decanted 1 hour.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
