A cask sample drawn around 6 hours before being tasted.

1980 Andresen colheita cask sample: vanilla shortbread on the nose. Surprisingly dry entry on the palate, good grip; dark honey and bitter orange peel. The finish is stunning; dry, soft tannins and immense dried orange zest. Stunning. 94/100. Tasted 14-Oct-22.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
