1967 Cockburn

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Cockburn 1967. Mature brick red colour, 40% opaque. Red liquorice and garrigue on the nose. Soft flavours on the palate, a little cranberry and some light brown sugar. Good acidity keeping the freshness. Lingering cranberry finish. Elegant and gentle, a lovely mature Port.  89/100. 13-Oct-22. Drunk 12 hours.
Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.

2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports, except a good bottle of Fonseca 1927. Wow!
