2015 Cockburn

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Available by the glass from the Cockburn lodge upstairs tasting room. Slightly subdued tone to the colour, scarlet and not purple. A lovely nose of elegant blackcurrant. Delicious fruit, ripe yet with generous acidity. Balanced, elegant, refined. Lovely long blackcurrant and dark chocolate.  92/100.
Tasted 15-Oct-22.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
