1880 Whitwhams Millennium

Whitwhams 1880, bottled 2001. Decanted 1 hour. Slightly turbid having left a considerable deposit on the sides of the bottle. Wonderful beeswax nose flowing out of the glass. Rich palate, mouth-filling, red toffee apple and generous acidity. Big aftertaste, rich with burnt sugar and cinder toffee; lovely lingering coffee fudge and a long finish. Nicely balanced. 94/100. Drunk 30-Aug-22.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
