1982 Warre LBV (unfiltered)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Drunk at dinner at Adega de São Nicolau in Porto.

Warre 1982 LBV, decanted 3 hours. Mature dark red. Sweet dusty fruit, hint of aniseed. Dry tannins sit in the fruit, marked acidity. A trace of VA shows in the dark cherry fruit on the finish, with some dark chocolate on the finish.  88/100. Drunk 12-Oct-22.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
