Tasted at LaDo.

Quinta da Fonte Nova 20YO, bottled 2021. Light and delicately coloured; 30% opaque. Râncio on the nose, red cinnamon drops. Smooth and honeyed, red cinnamon on the palate with a nice tobacco kick. Some Douro bake shows as a topping of torched sugar. Big red cinnamon drops aftertaste, which grows and swells to become a big mouthful on the aftertaste. Wow! A bit unbalanced but not shy. 88/100. Tasted 25-Jun-22
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
