One of Luís Sottomayor’s favourite vintages due to the freshness. Dark red colour. Lovely fresh fruit nose. Great grip n the ripe black cherry fruit, slight green hint to the tannins. Like a mouthful of salted gammon cooked with black cherries. So savoury!  93/100. Tasted 17-Jan-23. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
