2017 Alves de Sousa

Dark red with a wide rim. A pleasant balanced nose, very floral and refined. The beautiful balance follows on to the palate with the fruit sweet, pure and so elegant with perfectly ripe tannins. Such a lovely Port with an exquisite balance. 93-95/100. Tasted on 29-Feb-20 at the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
