2015 Krohn LBV

Post by akzy »

Believed to be filtered (but with a driven cork) - nothing on the label to say. Decanted anyways and first concerns arose when a strong vodka smell whifted over.

Still quite a spirit nose, not terribly fruity either. Taste is equally spirity and a bit cloying. Light blackberry and chocolate notes. Generally not too great and would prefer many of the more easily available options at the supermarket. Got drunk regardless.

You or the wine?

(I ask because of the vodka thing)

Both. Helped by additional wines which included a wonderful 2014 Blanc de Noir from Court Garden in Ditchling UK.
