1960 Dow

D60: unknown UK bottler with a blue foil. Mature bronze colour; 40%. Spiced dried fruitcake nose, very inviting. Elegant palate, mature Port dominated by secondary spices. Plentiful fruit, a huge mouthful of spiced mature dried fruit and cocktail cherry. Some heat on the aftertaste, long and lingering cocktail cherry finish. Just amazing. 96/100. Drunk 03-Mar-23.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
