1976 Royal Oporto Carvalhas Colheita (bottled 2023)

ROC76c, cask sample bottled 2023: gentle honey-brown; 40%. Delicious nose marked by the lavender VA of a venerable wood aged Port. Balanced palate, lovely floral honey and intense acidity. Rounded. Very long finish. 91/100. Tasted in the Royal Oporto masterclass at the BFT on 20-Apr-23. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
