Bottled in the UK by an unknown bottler. Opened at 09.00, decanted at 14.55 and drunk at 18.25.

A mature bronze-red colour, 30% opaque. Some dried berries on the nose, an appetising blend of redcurrant and citrus zest. Smooth on the palate, carrying the orange zest on a nicely textured pillow of flavour. A little eucalyptus oil gives just a hint of heat to the honey wrapped around the fruit. The warm and spiced orange zest of the aftertaste slowly changes to a delicious finish of sweet apricot. This is a brilliant bottle of Port. 94/100. 24-Apr-23.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
