1970 Graham
Opened at 20.00, decanted at 07.30, tasted at 19.20. Bottled by Grants of St James. A lovely red colour, youthful compared to the Taylor 1970 tasted alongside. Bright and vibrant fruit on the nose. Generous fruit in the mouth, with plentiful sweet red fruit. Redcurrant and cranberry aftertaste giving a lovely long fruit finish that is very persistent. An excellent bottle of this wonderful wine, my joint wine of the night. 95/100. 24-Apr-23.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
