NV Graham Tawny 10YO
Available by the glass from Summer Lodge Hotel in Evershot, Dorset. £13.50 (or £8 in the Acorn Inn) for 75ml. Deep brick red, 60% opaque. A little tired and oxidised on the nose, but still with some sweet dried fruit. A little raspberry on entry, lots of heat giving a red pepper fire to the palate The fire subsides to allow more of the fruit through giving a modest but pleasant experience. The heat surges back on the aftertaste, leaving a gentle red liquorice and aniseed finish of good length. Not showing at its best. 86/10. Tasted 09-Feb-23.
