Tom - It’s worth asking the question about food options. With notice, they might be willing and able to offer off-menu choices.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

To try to get my head around this tasting, I've been through the posts and updated the list of people who are attending and the list of wines available.

Simon, Phil and Harry have dropped out and been removed from the list.

That has resulted in Mike, Will and Ben moving from the reserve list to have a confirmed seat. Martin and AlexH are on the reserve list.

Could those with seats at the table who are travelling from outside the UK please confirm you will be with us - Moses and Will? (JMK is already confirmed).

Tom - you need to tell people which Ports you are bringing and which Ports you want others to bring. I've started a list on the first post.

All - food orders to be added to the thread please.

It’s recently dawned on me that rather annoyingly, 25 May doesn’t actually work for me (in spite of initially stating to the contrary) as I will be in Lisbon that evening! Therefore, I will have to ruefully drop out.

We’ll miss you Ian, but I’m sure you’ll console yourself with a quick visit to Garrafeira Nacional.

Martin - you’re promoted to a place at the table.

Happy to take one from you Tom; Cockburn, Gould Campbell, Graham, Quarles Harris, Taylor or Warre?

Tom - I think we need to assume that Moses (MB) is not going to make it for the tasting. He would be flying in from Boston and hasn't confirmed that he'll be able to make it over in time.

People who are adopting, please choose one of the bottles offered for adoption by Tom. It doesn't matter which you choose, just choose the one you'd like to be at the tasting.

B&F tell me that the Duck liver pate starter is now discontinued.

As we are down to 12 by the looks it, I'll work towards a 16 bottle event, 17 if Moses makes it over.

Matching people's handles to their initials on the attendance list is a little challenging - does anyone have a cross reference spreadsheet they can email me?

I'll update the first post to have people's handles and names.

There are 5 bottles already at the B&F. 4 people are bringing nominated bottles. We require 7 more bottles to bring the total to 16.

Neil has offered Calem in addition to Fonseca.

You have offered to bring a further 6 bottles for adoption by the 7 people wanting to adopt. Perhaps Neil's Calem could be the 7th bottle needed?

If you wouldn't mind, that would be most helpful - the B&F are chasing

As the pate has been discontinued, I will go for Mac and cheese, Medium rare steak + chips, beans and peppercorn sauce

JDAW - I will finalise the bottle list in the morning and confirm who is supplying which
