Beautiful red-fruited port, completely integrated, with none of that occasionally excessive Taylor heat.
Consumed, joyfully, 23/5/23.

Re: 1966 Taylor
Ahh. This was the same bottle as George consumed, but my glass must have been either under- or over-decanted. I found the spirit was drowning out the fruit and texture. It happens.
Taylor 1966: wonderful mature colour, 50% opaque. Wonderful nose, so expressive with such a pure and focused mature dried fruit nose. Dried cherry on the palate, dry texture with a little spirit showing through the fruit - surprisingly light texture. Some heat in the aftertaste, dried cherry, birch sap and cedar. Good long length, juniper and cedar. Great on the nose, but less impressive on the palate. Sadly the spirit is showing too loudly. 85/100.
