2019 Dow Senhora da Ribeira

Dow Senhora da Ribeira 2019 (half bottle cask sample). Deep crimson in colour, opaque. Fresh nose, pure sweet blackcurrant. Powerful acidity supports the blackcurrant, gentle tannins provide grip in the fruit; hints of peppercorn hiding in the fruit. Blackcurrant and dark chocolate aftertaste with good length. Nice Port, well put together; not complex or powerful but a fine SQVP for the short to medium term. 88/100. Opened 24-May-23. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
