2020 Quinta do Noval

We were invited to join a tasting organised for some visitors from the Carlton Club on the second morning of our two night stay at Noval. The tasting included this wine.

Tasted alongside the 2003. Noval 2020. Dark purple colour. Sweet perfume fruit, bramble and blackcurrant. Sweet fruit, a touch of mint, fabulous fine tannins supporting the blackcurrant. Bramble finish, a touch of liquorice. Stunning length. So easy to drink while young!  92/100. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
