Drunk at dinner at Quinta do Noval with Elizabeth on the first night of our two day stay. Bottled 2021.

Unknown colheita, dark burnished copper colour, 40% opaque. Fragrant nose, râncio and plums; lovely. Rich and slightly thickened texture, full of dried fruit and roses, big and rich without being full of acidity - yet no shortage of fruit! Nicely balanced acidity matches well with the sweetness and the fruit. Really rather nice! Served blind, guessed to be 2003 Colheita. 93/100. Drunk 20-Jun-23. Decanted 4 hours.
