1980 Warre

Mature red colour, 80% opaque. Something slightly odd on the nose, perhaps a little oxidation? Not showing properly on the palate with the fruit withdrawn and the tannins slightly bitter. Anthony later confirmed it was very slightly corked, enough to flatten the fruit in the wine. Not rated.
21-Feb-23. Decanted 4 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
