2002 Quevedo Colheita (bottled 2021)

Quevedo 2002 Colheita, bottled 2021 in 9cl for the 2021 advent calendar. Pop and pour. Deep blood red with an opaque centre. Sweet cranberry and ground pistachio on the nose. Aggressively acidic and harsh on the palate. Unbalanced, needing much more time in wood to soften and shape itself into an enjoyable wine.  84/100. Tasted 21-Mar-23. Decanted 1 hour.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
