Oporto bottled. Mature bronze colour, 40% opaque. A lovely, gentle fruit-jelly nose. Smooth entry, the texture of shiny satin. Wonderfully balanced, the components having been put together delightfully to give a wine which is complex, rich and so full of dried fruit. Such a long and lovely red jelly finish. Absolutely wonderful, a wine which is both delightful and delicious. Opened at 19.45, decanted at 08.30, drunk at 19.00. 95/100. Decanted 10½ hours.

Wonderful rich red. Pungent quite sharp nose. Rich with lots of glycerine. A little hot late with a hint of prune. My experience of this was different from those around me who acclaimed it. It is possible this was a switched glass.
