1950 Croft
1950 Croft
We drank Croft. We drank Croft, at the Boot & Flogger, on Tuesday 7th November 2023.
Re: 1950 Croft
30% opacity, mature red-orange. Soft chewy entry, then gentle heat and dryness. Candied seville oranges. This bottle punched above its expected weight! 1 point.

Not a great deal happening here for me, in one sense, but also still very nice. Pleasant old wine drinking.

Re: 1950 Croft
Deep mature brick-red colour, 50% opaque. Smoky toned fruit on the nose, like burnt rhubarb juice over stewed, forced rhubarb. A lovely texture, smooth, bringing a wonderful agglomeration of star anise and Amalfi lemon. A huge Amalfi lemon oil aftertaste and a sticky chocolate orange finish. A very impressive wine for the vintage. 90/100.
