2019 Quevedo

Quevedo 2019, bottled in 2021 in 9cl and included in the 2022 advent calendar. A warm purple colour with a narrow rim. Pure blackcurrant in the nose, beautifully defined. Elegant blackcurrant fruit on the palate, dusty charcoal tannins and a late developing acidity. The blackcurrant and almost hidden blueberry dominate the aftertaste and long finish. Perhaps a little cough sweet on the late finish distracts from the otherwise pure fruit. By far the freshest of the 3 VPs tasted alongside each other (2021, 2020 and 2019) with each showing wonderful vintage variation. 92/100. 1/2 hour decant.
