K94: dark red, 60% opaque. I liked the bright freshness of this. Good Port.

40% but red not brown. Nose quite closed. Palate better, but there was something odd, but quite liked it. 4+/7.

Decanted at 14.45, tasted at 18.40.

A deeply coloured rich red appearance, 80% opaque. Very little showing on the nose, perhaps a little lemon oil if the imagination is worked hard. Lovely texture on the palate, smooth dark cherry and bramble fruit - fruit which is vigorous, sweet and very generous. The aftertaste and finish are very impressive, packed full of black cherry. Despite the generosity of fruit, I felt the wine was still a little closed and will be magnificent when it opens up again soon. 94/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

45% opacity, warm red. Chewy, a little raisined, figs, mild tannin, chocolate. Chunky, acidity lacking, fruit full.
