RO94: red-pink, 40% opaque. Nose = “Yuck”. Others were brave enough to taste it, and reported the palate to be better than than the nose.

30%+ opaque, with some definite brown showing. Nose wasn't quite right - possibly a bacteriological issue (although this faded with time in the glass). Palate better, but not much. Not nice. 3/7.

Opened at 23.00, double-decanted at 07.30 and tasted at 18.25.

Mature red appearance, 70% opaque. Muted on the nose showing a little raisined fruit. Redcurrant cordial palate. A wine which is sweet, simple and perfectly pleasant with a moderate length finish and tannins nearly fully integrated. 86/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
